AF Hydro and each of its affiliate companies (the "AF Hydro", “our”, “we”, and “us”) care deeply about our customers (the “you” or “your”), including your concerns over the protection and use of your personal information and purchasing data (the “Data” or "Personal Information"). Your privacy is important to us, and this Privacy Policy is about the personal data we collect and process, how we process it, for what purposes, and whom we share it with. We will collect certain information about your device, your interaction with our Site, and relevant information to process your purchases. We may also collect additional information if you contact us for support. By visiting Our Site, you consent to the processing, collection, and use of your Personal Information following this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us from time to time. If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, you may not use our Site. We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy without notice from time to time at our sole discretion. 1. INFORMATION OR DATA WE COLLECT

I.  Information we collect directly from you

Personal Information or Data means any information that identifies you or could reasonably be used to identify you and which is submitted to AF Hydro. We will collect the information you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account as a member, place an order, subscribe to our newsletters, contact the customer support team, or interact with us via social media (Whatsapp).

 

The personal information and data we may collect directly from you include:

  • Contact information: your name, email address, contact number, shipping address, and phone number;

  • Account information: your username and password;

  • Billing information: your credit or debit card details and billing address; and

  • Purchases information: your purchase and transaction history

 

We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from anyone under the legal age (according to your jurisdiction). If you are under the legal age (according to your jurisdiction), please do not attempt to sign up for an account through our Site or submit any Personal Information or Data about yourself to us. If we notice that we have collected Personal Information or Data from anyone under the legal age (according to your jurisdiction), we will delete that data immediately. You could also contact us if you believe that anyone under the legal age (according to your jurisdiction) has provided us with Personal Information or Data.

We may collect your information from third-party sources, such as public databases, social media platforms, and our joint marketing partners, and they are legally permitted or required to disclose such information to us. Examples of the information we may receive from other sources include device information (such as IP addresses), location, and online behavioral data (such as information about your use of social media websites, page view information, and search results and links as well). The information including Personal Information or Data we collect is to enhance our ability to provide related marketing and content to you and to develop and provide you with more preferable product features or services. 

We may combine your data with other information we collect or obtain about you, to serve you specifically, such as to deliver a product or service according to your preferences or restrictions, or for advertising or targeting purposes by this Privacy Policy. The information and personal data will apply all of the safeguards in this Privacy Policy.

2. INFORMATION USES AND DISCLOSURE

The Data we collect to achieve our objectives of bringing the best products, and user experience, to you. We may use the information to deliver the products and services you request, to maintain and customize your account and our interactions with you, and to provide, maintain, and improve our Services. 

 

We also use the information to:

  • Create an account with our site and/or subscribe to us;

  • To perform an account in which you are involved as a member;

  • To send you updates and information on AF Hydro and related information about our company;

  • To transfer your information to our mailing list;

  • To respond to your requests, inquiries, comments, and suggestions;

  • To improve the performance of our Site, including making them more user-friendly and personalized by delivering the type of content and product offering in which you may be most interested in;

3. SHARING DATA WITH THIRD PARTIES

I.  Within AF Hydro

We may disclose certain of your data to AF Hydro affiliates and personnel who need to know the information for the purposes described above, including personnel in the customer care service and information technology departments.

II.  Vendors, Consultants Service Providers

We may use vendors, consultants, and service providers acting on AF Hydro's behalf to perform some of the services described above. For example, we share certain information with service providers who assist with the processing of credit cards and payments, hosting, managing, and servicing our data. We also might share your information with our professional advisors, including accountants, auditors, lawyers, insurers, and bankers, if needed. These vendors, consultants, and service providers may change over time, but we will always ensure they are legal service providers whom we require to take appropriate security measures to protect your data in line with our policies. They will only process your information for specified purposes and, as appropriate, under our instructions and the provisions of this Policy and applicable law.

III.  Other Third Parties

In certain limited circumstances, we share and/or are obligated to share your data with other third parties, including (a) to comply with our obligations, to protect the rights and property of AF Hydro, our customers, and the public, to cooperate with law enforcement investigations, and to detect and respond to suspected illegal activity and threats to the health or safety or any person or of our systems or services; (b) in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, joint venture, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business, assets or stock by another company (including in connection with any bankruptcy or similar proceedings); and/or (c) with your consent and at your direction.

IV.  Marketing

Interest-Based Advertising and Third-Party Marketing. Through our Services, AF Hydro may allow Third-Party advertising partners to set tracking tools (e.g., cookies) to collect information regarding your behavior and activities (e.g., your IP address, page(s) visited, time of day). We may also share such de-identified information as well as selected Personal Information and Data (such as demographic information and past purchase history) we have collected with Third-Party advertising partners. These advertising partners may use this information (and similar information collected from other websites) for purposes of delivering targeted advertisements to you when you visit non-AF Hydro-related websites within their networks. This practice is commonly referred to as “interest-based advertising” or “online behavioral advertising”. 

4. CUSTOMER RIGHTS

  • Right to be forgotten: You may want to terminate your AF Hydro account at any time, in which case we will delete your account and all data associated with it permanently, please drop us a message here.

  • Right to rectification: You may update your AF Hydro account settings at any time to change or complete your account information at any time. You may also contact or send an email to us at news@afhydro.com for amending or deleting the information that we hold about you. Unless it is prohibited by law, we will remove your data from our servers at your or their request. There is no extra charge for updating your Data.

  • Right of portability: We will export your account data to our third-party marketing partners with your consent.

5. PROGRAMME

From time to time, we may offer surveys, reviews upon our products, services, and website,  or other promotions on AF Hydro (the “Promotion”). It is completely voluntary to participate in our Promotions. By participating, the information requested for entry may include personal contact information such as your name, address, date of birth, phone number, email address, and similar details. The information you provide is to carry out Our Promotions. We may share your information with our affiliates or other organization in line with this policy and the rules posted for the Promotion.

6. DATA RETENTION AND PROTECTION

Our retention periods for personal data are based on business needs and legal requirements. We retain personal data for as long as is necessary for the processing purpose(s) for which the data was collected, and any other permissible, related purpose. For example, we may retain certain transaction details and correspondence until the time limit for claims arising from the transaction has expired. When we no longer need to use your personal data, it is removed from our systems and records or anonymized so that you can no longer be identified from it.

We will take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, destruction, taking into account the risks involved in the processing and the nature of the individual's data. ​AF Hydro does not store members' account passwords in the accessible format. We will not divulge or change any passwords on any account without proper authorization from the account owner or responsible party. We recommend that you always keep your password private, and change it periodically to better protect your data.

Any information or data we have collected through our websites or over the browser are transmitted using current industry-standard security and/or encryption methods to secure our member’s information from unauthorized access or use. Our servers and offices are located in Singapore so your information may be transferred to, stored, or processed in Singapore too. The data protection, privacy, and other laws of Singapore might not be as comprehensive as those in your country, we take many steps to protect your privacy. 

By using our Websites, you understand and consent to the collection, storage, processing, and transfer of your information to our facilities in Singapore and those third parties with whom we share it as described in this policy. AF Hydro guarantees that any actions regarding your personal information are carried out in full compliance with this Privacy Policy and the principles outlined in the SG PDPA.
